For the distribution of data lines, Ethernet switches in industrial DIN rail housings are usually used in control systems. Unfortunately, these are currently difficult to obtain, and the range of switches with many ports in particular is very limited.

As an alternative, we have thoroughly tested this 8-port switch from Netgear. As a Gigabit switch in a robust metal housing, it has enough performance to spare for the 100MBit technology usually used in organ control. The switch has no fan and causes no noise during Operation.

You get the switch in a package with a high-quality DC-DC converter. This has a wide input range of 9-36V. The suitable connection cable for the switch with a practical angled plug and a length of 2m is already connected.

You can easily mount the switch by hanging in two screws at any place in the organ and supply it with organ voltage.

You don't need an electrician to mount sockets for the usual wall power supplies ("wall warts"). We thus also support you in the safety initiative to avoid unnecessary 230V installations in the organ as far as possible.
